Drugstore: Velvet lip pencils

I have such small lips so trying to find a good lipstick that will make my lips look fuller always proves difficult.  However there has been a new craze for the NARS lip pencils but I for one am not willing to spend that much on a product I may not like. So as soon as I saw Maybelline had brought out a new collection of their own I had to get my hands on a couple and try them out for myself. I looked up some of the reviews before I purchased them just to be on the safe side and everyone had said they are a perfect dupe for the famous Nars lip pencils. This surprised me but so many people had talked about them I couldn't just not pick two up for myself and see what all the rave was about. They have called them velvet lip pencils and at £4.99 each you didn't have to tell me twice before I grabbed two. The Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils are a little smaller and stubby in shape and size compared to the NARS Matte Lip Pencils and are a little drier so putting on a lip balm before you apply one of them will help. One of the best thing about this product is that you don't need to line your lips before applying these and can save a lot of time trying to perfect it.

I chose two very bold colours but I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and follow the crowd with dark lips for the winter months.The deep red is called 'Light it up' and the deep purple shade is of course called 'berry much' and I personally think it is slightly similar to mac 'Rebel'.
